How to Create an Email QR Code

An Email QR code encodes an email address so that when someone scans it, their device opens the default email app with your address pre-filled. This removes the friction of manually typing an email address.

Why Use an Email QR Code?

Email QR codes make it effortless for people to contact you. Instead of reading and typing an email address — which is error-prone — a quick scan is all it takes. The user's email app opens immediately with the recipient address already populated, so they can start composing a message right away.

This is especially useful in situations where people may not have a pen handy or where speed matters, such as at a trade show booth or on a printed poster.
